A 31-year-old man has been arrested after a car crashed through the wall of a Nottinghamshire pub.

The man was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol after a car crashed into the Staff of Life pub, in West End, Sutton-in-Ashfield, at 9.50pm on Sunday (July 2).

  • Main road closed while emergency services tackle shed fire

Four people, who were thought to be inside the pub at the time, were taken to King's Mill Hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries.

The rest of the people inside the pub were evacuated by staff.

 
Nottinghamshire Police said that the Staff of Life pub was closed on Monday (July 3) while an assessment of the damage to the building was carried out.
